It's the third forbidden rules from 4 for being a good Buddhist. I kinda like the first ending. The main couple are consistently good and kind and (way way too) trusting throughout the story. And they remain so. And it inspires the asshole couple to actually change. Which is a core feature of Buddhism: that people can and must change (usually over many lifetimes). The main couple are much more enlightened than I would be in their place. And i would not recommend their actions as healthy. But .. I like the shape of the idea.
